I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. My name is Carrie Torres, and I am the founder and owner of Legacy Medical Billing. First and foremost, I want to say thank you. I’ve been in the medical billing field since 2005, and over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with providers in a wide range of specialties including pediatrics, physical therapy, obstetrics and gynecology, optometry, and neurosurgery. I created Legacy because I saw something shifting in the industry. Billing has become increasingly impersonal; more automated and less human, and while technology certainly has its place, I believe that trust, compassion, and real relationships are at the heart of any successful partnership.
At Legacy Medical Billing, we treat your practice and your patients like they are our own. That means not only handling your claims with precision and urgency, but also showing genuine care for your team and your patients. I recognize and appreciate that each claim submitted is not just paperwork. Claims represent the livelihood of someone who worked hard during that visit. Claims are about providers being able to keep their doors open, staff getting paid, and families being supported. That is something I never take for granted.
Legacy was established in Las Vegas, Nevada, but we proudly serve practices all across the country. Our team works remotely, which allows us the flexibility to serve and support your team no matter where you’re located. Medical billing is not a one-size-fits-all industry and we are not a one-size-fits-all billing company. We recognize that different specialties and business types have different billing requirements, and we tailor each contract to meet the unique needs of your practice. With every new partnership, we guarantee an in-person visit to get to know your team, introduce ours, and ensure a smooth on-boarding experience.

Just to share a little bit more about me, I am a proud military mom to a Navy veteran son, a hardcore animal lover (my two cats and one very spoiled dog can attest to that), and a proud alumna of Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!). When I am not billing, I enjoy running, long walks, hiking, lifting, and rowing to a bumpin’ playlist or a motivational podcast. These parts of my life keep me grounded, motivated, and grateful every single day.
